Norsk Skogsfinsk Museum
Size 1000m²
LocationGrue Finnskog, Norway
Comptetition proposal for a museum dedicated to the Norsk Skogsfinsk culture. The building consists of several wooden volumes, inspired by the traditional log houses of the Skogsfinsk people and oriented around two courtyards, creating a circular flow around the museum interior. The building techniques and the shapes are chosen to reflect the traditional buildings and the culture of the Skogsfinsk people. Each wooden module has a majestic ceiling height with a square skylight. Connected they form a large open space at the same times as each volume creates a clear spatiality in its own.
