Handbok för en (mer) hållbar handelsplats / Manual for a (more) sustainable external retail
Research project for Arkus together with Freda Arkitekter, Outerspace Arkitekter and Mittuniversitetet
2024
This projcet researches how we can enhance the sustainability of external shopping centres, its buildings and our consuming patterns. Analyzing retail architecture today we aim to lower the overall carbon footprint of the constructions, the energy use, the customer and transportations as well as making these places become more architecturally appealing, shaped for the human scale and less car-dependant. The research has resulted in a 200-page book, a manual with different tools to help developers, architects and municipalities to create more sustainable and beautifully designed external retail.
